From doctor’s offices to self-storage units, from shopping malls to retirement villages, Bethesda Real Estate Company (BRE) develops, builds, and manages buildings in order to help fund B4B. Most of its projects are commercial, although some are residential. Many are in its home city of Colorado Springs—up to 1,000,000 square feet of office space at a time—while others range from Indiana to Arizona. 

A few examples of BRE projects:
  • A medical office campus
  • An upscale housing area called Gleneagle with 630 home sites and a golf course, which was bought at a good price from the government’s RTC (Resolution Trust Corporation) following the savings-and-loan crisis. BRE marketed all the properties successfully and profitably.
  • BRE is in charge of acquiring or constructing all facilities of its sister company Bethesda Senior Living Communities. It also manages the facilities at the corporate headquarters.
  • Additional assisted living communities in Kansas City and Fort Worth, Texas.
 Bethesda Real Estate is the group’s only for-profit company. It makes steady contributions to the group’s ministry objectives.
